Protecting Reproductive Health Care
Earl believes every single person has the right to access the full spectrum of reproductive health care services. Since the Supreme Court’s egregious ruling to overturn Roe v. Wade and strike down 50 years of legal precedent, Earl has redoubled his efforts to defend and expand access to abortion. Earl is fighting to:
Codify the right to abortion and reaffirm the right to bodily autonomy. Earl was proud to help the House pass the Women’s Health Protection Act in the 117th Congress and believes it is shameful that the Senate was unable to send this legislation to President Biden.
Repeal the Hyde Amendment to allow federal funds to pay for abortion care and make it easier to get insurance reimbursements, which will ensure low-income individuals can access these services.
Protect people traveling across state lines for abortion care. As more than a dozen states have entirely outlawed abortion, it is critical we protect patients traveling to receive care.
In Congress, Earl has maintained a rock-solid commitment to reproductive rights. He has consistently earned a 100% pro-choice voting rating from NARAL Pro-Choice America and Planned Parenthood.
