Join Earl for a Gala Honoring his 40 Years in Elected Office

Join Earl as he celebrates his 40th year in elected office with a gala on June 14th at the Memorial Coliseum.  The evening will highlight Earl’s role in laying the groundwork for many of the qualities that make Portland and Oregon one of the most livable regions in the country: launching Portland’s recycling program, championing the city’s streetcar system , elevating Portland’s bicycle culture and economy for a national audience, leading the local effort to create a dedicated ‘Percent for Art’ ordinance, permanently protecting the Mt. Hood Wilderness, leading the charge internationally to provide water for all, and  many others.

The event will be quintessentially Portland: performances by Pink Martini and Storm Large, food courts to sample local fare, and attendees that represent a large swath of the community. This is no ordinary political event, but rather a fast-paced and fun celebration worthy of honoring forty years of accomplishments and leadership.

In this decade of decision, the lessons we have learned and the solutions we have developed over the years can truly help save the world. Many of you have taken part in shaping our region into what it is today, but the work is far from finished, and Earl would be pleased if you could join us on this very special evening to help lay the groundwork for what’s to come.

UPDATE: More Seats Released for the Concert!

Due to overwhelming demand, we have just a few seats left for the VIP dinner, and have decided to open up the event to a broader audience so that much more of the community can join in.

Beginning at 7PM underneath the Memorial Coliseum plaza entrance, guests will sample local food cart fare, enjoy music and entertainment, and sip event-themed beverages before marching in to the Memorial Coliseum at 8PM for the main event, which includes performances by Pink Martini and Storm Large, and a swing dancing after-party at 930PM.

Rather than a stuffy political event, it looks to be a fun time with music, local food, and special guests. Please join us by purchasing $100 Concert tickets here:
